After months of advocacy by WCC and the Our City, Our Vote Coalition, the New York City Council has scheduled an in-person hearing at City Hall on Monday, September 20th regarding Intro. 1867, which would expand voting rights to nearly one million immigrant New Yorkers with work authorizations and green cards. A press conference in City Hall Park at 8:30 AM will precede the hearing at 10:00 AM.
