The NYIC along with the Asian American Federation, 21 in 21, New American Leaders, and the NAACP are proud to present Disrupting Power and Making Herstory in NYC. This event is co-sponsored by WCC.
This two-part panel series taking place in October & November will be held virtually on Tuesday, October 12, 6-7:30 pm and Tuesday, November 16, 6-7:30 pm
Both events will feature panels of women of color who ran campaigns for City Council in the 2021 Primary Elections and will include Q&A sections. A brief description of each event is below:
Part 1 – Panel discussion with candidates on their campaign & experience. We plan to include Moumita Ahmed, Sandy Nurse, Mino Lora, and Shahana Hanif as panelists for the first event.
Part 2 – Panel discussion with nominees and their plan for NYC Council.
