Margaret Caspler
Margaret A. Caspler, joined the WCC Board of Directors in 2016. Her leadership roles with WCC included serving as the Founding Chair of the Governance Committee, an Interim President and CEO from July 2022 to March 20223, as well as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors from 2020 through September 2023.
Previously, Margaret served as the Executive Director of the Endometriosis Foundation of America,She led efforts to increase disease recognition, provide advocacy, facilitate expert surgical training, and fund landmark endometriosis research.
Margaret was the Founding Executive Director of the Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy (ACGT), the only national nonprofit organization exclusively dedicated to innovative cell and gene therapy research for cancer. Ms. Caspler held that title from 2001-2019 and worked closely with ACGT’s board of directors, Scientific Advisory Council, Research Fellows and staff.
Margaret’s previous career was primarily in the financial services industry in which she held various positions in financial services, credit, operations, marketing and private banking for both The Chase Manhattan Bank and Bankers Trust in New York.
Ms. Caspler has also served on community and philanthropic boards in New York City and Greenwich, CT, gaining extensive experience in the non-profit field. Ms. Caspler holds an MPA in Policy and Public Administration from New York University, an MBA in Marketing/Finance from Columbia University and a BA from Colgate University.
