WCC Founders’ Day: Frances Perkins Film Screening & Discussion (Free)

Women Creating Change invites you to a special film screening of SUMMONED: FRANCES PERKINS AND THE GENERAL WELFARE.

Please join WCC at a Founders Day event to celebrate the 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote and screen a new film spotlighting Frances Perkins —
one of Women’s City Club of New York’s founding members.

Perkins was the first female presidential cabinet member as Secretary of Labor. She held this position through FDR’s administration and into the Truman administration. She also was the architect of the New Deal’s labor laws that we rely upon today.

The event will feature a reception, followed by a screening and discussion with Mick Caouette, the film’s producer, Tomlin Perkins Coggeshall, grandson of Frances Perkins and Blanche Wiesen Cook, Eleanor Roosevelt biographer.

*Event is limited to 100 guests so reserve your seat today!
