On February 27th, WCC launched Table Talk, a monthly speaker series over lunch taking place on the last Thursday of each month. WCC was proud to host Julie Menin, Director of the Census for NYC, at our inaugural Table Talk event.
Julie shared important updates about the 2020 Census, including providing resources and factsheets in 22 languages and working with more than 1,000 houses of worship to encourage participation.
We all have a part to play to ensure an accurate count. One of the best ways New Yorkers can get involved is by volunteering with Neighborhood Organizing Census Committees (NOCCs). NOCC volunteers have the opportunity to canvas, phonebank, and assist with text outreach to community members to ensure every New Yorker is counted!
