Civic Matters Workshop: Storytelling for Change Pt. 1

Everyone has a story to tell – what is yours? Bring your lived experience to life!

Join WCC for a two-part workshop on the importance of lived experience and the power of storytelling and civic engagement to create change. In the first session, attendees will be guided through improv games, writing exercises, and a discussion about how your personal values are connected to your story. In the second session, attendees will identify an issue they care about, connect it to their values and share a story based on lived experience to demonstrate why others should care about the issue too. The workshops will be co-facilitated by Deneisha Thompson and Jasmine Wilson.

*Attendees are encouraged to attend both, though you are invited to attend one or both sessions.
