The Women’s City Club of New York welcomes women – and men – who want a deeper understanding of public policy and hands-on experience as informed activists working to improve our city and state. WCC gives each member a voice on issues of concern; you in turn strengthen our efforts to shape enlightened policies that will better the lives of all New Yorkers.

Faces of the WCC

You’ll be joining a dynamic group of multi-faceted women who quickly become mentors and friends, enjoying each other’s company at frequent WCC programs and meetings, special events, theater outings, tours of fascinating sites, and book and film clubs. Since we’re a volunteer organization, there are plenty of volunteer opportunities.

Members may choose to join civic committees organized around our major areas of interest, and/or standing committees—membership, development, communications, finance and nominating. Task forces are created to focus on specific areas of concern; current ones are examining government budget reform, public education, housing and homelessness.

Cost. WCC’s annual dues start at $150. However, as part of our commitment to cultivate future leaders, women who are 35 and younger may join and belong at no cost for two years.

Benefits. WCC members enjoy many benefits:

  • Access to elected and public officials at WCC programs
  • Optional membership on committees of interest
  • Limitless opportunities to participate, suiting your time and talents
  • Twice-monthly public programs on civic issues
  • Tours that further our knowledge about New York City
  • Our quarterly magazine Agenda and monthly newsletter
  • A Members’ Section on our website
